Fire Bands are galvanized steel sleeves designed to protect plasterboard walls that have plastic pipes running through them. These bands feature two slide tabs that are secured through a corresponding slot and fold-back tabs that attach to the plasterboard. Each plasterboard face within the Fire Band is covered with an Allproof Fire Wrap. In the event of a fire, the intumescent Fire Wraps within the steel Fire Band activate, forming a fire-resistant seal throughout the band, which helps to prevent the spread of fire.
