Low Cast-In Collars

Low Cast-In Collars

The Allproof Low Cast-In Passive Fire Collars are designed and tested for a diverse range of plastic plumbing pipes in on-site poured concrete floors for both stack and floor waste penetrations. These Low Cast-In Collars follow a similar installation method to the standard Cast-In Collar. The innovative design allows for straightforward attachment of the Cast-In Fire Collar base to the formwork, with the pipe penetration serving as the riser to the required height during concrete pouring. It is essential to cap the pipe to prevent concrete ingress during construction, eliminating the need for post-construction core drilling of penetrations and retrofitting fire collars or wraps. This approach facilitates the installation of structural steel around the penetration.

Comprising intumescent strip(s) enclosed in a recycled PPE plastic casing with a fixing base, the Low Cast-In Fire Collars expand against the casing in the event of a fire. Equipped with a steel ring at the base, they ensure rapid activation of the intumescent material, forming a reliable fire-resistant seal that upholds both fire integrity and insulation.

Allproof’s Low Cast-In Collars are designed and made in New Zealand and undergo rigorous testing at accredited fire laboratories.
